A little about me...

There is something plaguing me to the core of my soul. This topic has long been debated by minds much greater than mine. I am here to share with you a number theory of mine that may change the way you look at the world around you. That is at least what it did for me. I have shared this idea with many people, and it seems to invoke many different responses and emotions. I apologize in advance of any negative impact this may have on you. You may find yourself angry that something so simple has been right in front of us this whole time, yet it hasn't been discovered until a few years ago while I was a mechanical engineering student at the University of Southern Maine. I believe that it is not important "who" discovered this, but rather it has been discovered and now should be shared with everyone. I can assure you that it has had a profound impact on my life. Even though I am no genius, and I am far from perfect, I believe the foundation of my theory is fully defined and without contradictions. It cannot be compared to our current way of thinking about or defining fundamental division, but it is more of an expansion or perhaps a new way of explaining it altogether.

There is a balance in life that we all aim to achieve, whether we know it or not. We do what we do and think what we think based on our experiences and personal influences in life. There are those that seem to have it all figured out and those that seem to be on a crash course with society. I find myself smack dab in the middle. I consider myself to be as average as a person can get. I like to think that I am either a really smart dumb person or a really dumb smart person. Maybe that is exactly what it takes to discover something like what I am about to share with you. Let's get started...

I believe that mathematics is the universal language. I cannot say whether or not certain aspects of it were given to us, or if each element was discovered and defined along the way. I am not here to say that we are doing something wrong with our current understanding of mathematics either. I am simply here to say that I have created a new way of thinking about division that helped me understand the world around me much better than I ever imagined. The unfortunate part of all of this is that I am alone until more people read and understand the theory in order to determine if it leads us to new discoveries.

I am going to make a few assumptions in order to keep this as short as possible. I assume that you have a basic understanding of division and the many different ways we have defined how it works or can be explained. I also assume that you may not like what I am about to share and for that I apologize. Unfortunately, new ideas are not widely accepted at first for many reasons. You must not let your emotions get in the way of accepting this concept or the thought of someone like me making a discovery like this. After all I am nobody special.

I come from a poor family and a rather challenging upbringing. My father took my sister and I away from our mother when I was about two years old for various reasons. I met her for the first time when I was about 37 and at the funeral of my brother-in-law and nephew who passed away tragically in a car accident.

My father took us from Ohio to Pennsylvania where most of my father's side of the family lived. One day my aunt was walking my sister and I around town when a car pulled up. I can remember at least two men getting out of the car and taking us from our aunt. The next thing I remember is being put in a closet by our mother and using shoes to lay our heads on. Looking through the skeleton keyhole I could see a man with a gun. My sister and I were terrified. The next thing I can remember is my sister and I eating at Pizza Hut with our father. I also remember my father shooting spit balls at the light fixture above our table to make us laugh. We struggled financially for most of our lives for various reasons. None of which I blame anyone for. Life is tough and we do the best that we can. I don't even have hard feelings toward my mother anymore, even though I once did.

I went on in life to serve my country in the US Navy, graduated with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and now have a beautiful family of my own. Having my own children led me to reflect on my own life and it also brought a lot of questions to the surface that I needed answers to. I didn't believe that I would get the full truth from either side, so I had to assume a few things now that I was a parent of my own. I don't blame anyone for anything. I wouldn't go back and change anything either, knowing that one simple change could alter the outcome of my life. I have an amazing wife who is the best mother I ever could have asked for. And my children, where do I start? How fortunate I am to have them.

I have and always will be curious by nature as many of us are. I have sought answers to many questions by asking others for help. I have asked questions that didn’t have solid explanations that satisfied me or made me a believer. Some questions have multiple explanations that have ultimately left me to make conclusions on my own. That is where I am currently. In my college years the concept of infinity was introduced. To me, this concept is derived from division itself. As the denominator approaches zero, our solution approaches infinity. That is most likely the reason that infinity is the modern-day solution to 1/0. Growing up, I was told that it was simply undefined. I wasn’t happy with this, so I began to ask more questions. There are multiple ways to demonstrate how division works, of which I am assuming you know and understand if you managed to read this far. I have simply created a new way of thinking about and demonstrating an ideal way to show division or separation.

Multiplicative Inverse Axiom

As I have stated in previous posts there is, in my opinion, a major contradiction or flaw in the multiplicative inverse axiom that we...
